Children's Worship is an opportunity for children 3 years old
through the 3rd grade to have a separate time of worship with adult leaders. The
children begin worship with the adults and then are greeted by the Pastor as
they leave for their own special worship time. Following
service, parents should pick their young worshipers up at Room
102/103. Children's
Worship is available at the 8:30 and 11:00 services.
During Children's Worship children experience God while
learning about God. It involves helping children worship in a special place
apart from the worshiping congregation so they become able to worship
meaningfully with the congregation. The children first assemble, have a call to
worship and greeting, and a song of praise. Children hear God's word
demonstrated with interactive aids. They then have a response time where they
are able to express what they have just heard. This is followed by scripture
reading and the feast which symbolizes communion. The children offer praises and
concerns and pray.
Children's Worship is special time for our children and our
hope is it will be for yours as well.
